Should I tip my massage therapist?
Artsy Healer LLC has adjusted the prices of services to reflect a living wage.
Artsy Healer LLC is always grateful when clients gift a tip. Tipping is not an expectation.
It is customary in the United States to tip massage therapy services professionals 15-25% of the service price.
Some folks prefer to tip in set dollar amounts per hour increments of service. For example: $10 for a 30-60 min treatment, $15 for 75 min, $20 for 90 min, $25 for 105 min, and $30 for 120 min.
Insurance reimbursement will not reimburse for any tip amount, only for the price of the massage therapy service as listed publicly on the website and the super bill receipt.
Why do I have to hold my appointment with a credit card?
This is a safety measure. Your CC will not be charged unless you no-show for your appointment (as agreed to in the cancellation policy) or until the time of your massage appointment when you authorize the payment in person.
Unfortunately, there are "creepy" folks out there who are seeking massage services that are not therapeutic or legal. Credit card holds deter the creepers as they are less likely to schedule a therapeutic massage appointment under false pretenses when they are required to submit their real names and real credit card numbers.
Is it okay to receive massage therapy if I have a cold, respiratory virus, or fever?
No, massage therapy is not okay to receive when you have a cold, respiratory virus, or fever. Please schedule your appointment for a time when you are healthy, for your own health and safety, for your massage therapist's health and safety, and for the health and safety of other clients your massage therapist comes into contact with.
Artsy Healer requires appointments to be rescheduled for temperatures 99 and above.
Are there any add-on fees?
No, Artsy Healer LLC does not charge extra fees for any add-ons. The price for a prenatal massage is the same as oncology-sensitive, aromatherapy, cupping, or injury-specific work.
Do I undress completely for the massage treatment?
Many people choose to undress completely. This is up to the client’s comfort preferences. Some folks choose to keep their underwear on, and many young people will choose to wear a swimsuit or exercise clothes. You will be properly draped throughout your massage therapy treatment and only the body area being worked on will be undraped.
Do we have to listen to massage music?
No, you may request to listen to a musical preference, clients have music veto power.
